Welcome to Obamaization.

Bama comes off as a pretty even steven type of guy..one that can put aside his own ideology for the sake of getting things done. I have seen that in him...

HOWEVER all those Liberal Dems along with his backers, once they get in power will push for things that no one in their right mind would try and get. In other words like Grey Davis (recalled ex CA govenator) the CA Legislature had a mind of its own and pushed things through that that Davis told them to leave alone. BAMA WILL NOT BE ABLE TO STOP THEM>>>>

That is what is coming with Bama and the Dems... Just consider the USA as being Californication plus some...More Business Regs, More Taxes, More Environmental, More Bureaucracy, More Handouts, More Spending, More Appeasement and loss of sovereignty, and less choice... In other words a Socialist paradise on the order of the UK in the 60's....Business, innovation , and creativity simply went away... to an eventual implosion of the system as with the Soviet Union.

America will sink into a 4th world malaise....The 4th world is a post industrial nation that is suffering from over regulation, taxes to the point where business has become moribund... a state of being burned out...a state where there is chronic under employment with the dole supporting the whole rotten mess.

It is called tax the productive to pay the unproductive. Social redistribution of wealth downward...

So the Socialist experiment continues....and finally guess who is going to pay for all this social redistribution...The Wealthy...not a chance, they will simply go off shore...the moderately wealthy and Middle Class is going to get stuck for the bill. There will be an over class of elitists and the rest of us...the under classssss. Welcome to the world of Obamaization

The Kalifornication of America

If the Dems get in in November with Obama and a larger majority in the Congress than they allready have, America will turn into Kalifornication. In other words America will fall into the same turgid state of affairs that Great Britain sufferd through in the 1960's. Only there will be one difference the Dems will stack the deck in the name of limiting "special interests" so that unseating them will be nigh impossible.

Do not be fooled the system is not broken. The American people have merely taken a vacation from their civic responsibilities for the last 50 years or so. While economic times were good the American people felt little need to watch their represenatives after all "why fix it if it ain't broke" was and is their motto.

Setting aside the efficacy of California's Supream Courts decision to overturn the Gay marriage ban under the equal protection clause, it was Mayor of San Francisco Gavin Newsom's comments that proved irksome. Mayor Newsoms gleefull comment pronouning that California is the leader in the nation on Gay rights and that those rights will soon be coming to your state and town is viewed pejorativily in the rest of America.
Power Abhors A Vacuum

Has Ted Kennedy's political power disappeared with his grim diagnosis? Hillary seems to think so, she is now threatening to take her case to the convention floor to win the nomination. If Ted Kennedy had been diagnosed 2 months earlier would Obama have become the front runner? This may have been the event that Hillary was praying for. Something to put the nomination back in play. As grievous as Ted Kennedy's circumstances are this is reality. Power abhors a vacuum and without Ted Kennedy's on the job presence a vacuum has appeared.

The Genius Of GW

Today the Democrats dig the hole a little deeper with every word of rebuttal they say about GW's comments before the Knesset. The media has picked up the story and is turning it into a media frenzy. All at the expense of the Democrats trying to justify their position. However all it makes the Democrats seem like are Nazi "Appeasers" in the end. The Republicans have launched the first of their Trojan Horses that are designed to let the Democrats self destruct. This is worthy of a Carl Rove award, and they say GW isn't very smart?

Today President GW Bush fired the first salvo in the struggle between the Republicans and Democrats for the White House in November. By invoking the Nazis in a speech before the Knesset in Israel, GW hammered a wedge between the Jewish vote in America and the Democratic Party's front runner by painting the Democratic front runner as a Nazi appeaser. The wining strategy for the Republicans is going to be divide and conquer. Split off the different demographic groups in the Demcoratic Party by painting its front runner as a Liberal Extremist.

Also the Democratic Party's front runner gains little traction politically against his Republican rival John McCain by going after GW Bush's statements to Israels Knesset. GW is so heartily reviled by the Democrats already what is one more insult? By going after GW Bush there might be unintended consequences in that it might actually rally the Republican base against the Democratic Party's front runner. It is a win win for the Republicans to use GW Bush as the heavy.

A Nevadians Foreign Policy Approach To Iran

The United States recent foreign policy approach to Iran has been flawed strategically. The demand that the Iranians cease and desist from treating with terrorist organization as a precondition to negotiations was destined to failure. A better approach would have been to enter into negotiations with the Iranians and making it in their best interest to turn away from those organizations by offering them incentives every step of the way to do so. Someone from Nevada might call it the old carrot and the stick ploy.

The Real Threat of Terrorism

The threat that Terrorism poses is not in the event itself but the reaction of the financial markets to that event. A major event in an American city could result in a run on the bank, thus causing a crisis of liquidity which would then melt down the system.
The upcoming primaries in WV and Kentucky will give Hillary a clear picture of the support she has. Hillary is expected to win handily in both of those primaries. If she loses or wins by a squeaker as she did in Indiana, it maybe time for her to consider bowing out. However if she does as expected and finishs stongly that makes her still viable for the nomination. It will show that her support has not erroded and that Obama still is not able to penetrate the White Blue Collar vote.
The Disingenuous Left In America

We should all strive to live by the better angels of our nature. However the reality of this world is that our circumstances don't always allow us to do so. Sometimes toes get stepped on in the process of achieving our goals and ambitions. It is disingenuous for one to eat the fruit of the tree that was grown in the soil of the attainment of those goals and ambitions and cry foul at the same time. That is where the American Left is at today, crying foul while eating the fruit. The American left would be far better served accepting the fact that America acts in her own self interest, which the left derives benefit from and sometimes in those actions toes are stepped on. Those actions where toes are stepped on are part of the process that provides 3 meals a day for Americans both right and left. If the Left were truly so altruistic they would turn in their dinner plate and share their food with those who are less fortunate than America. That isn't happening, they enjoy eating their dinner and pontificating about how foul the gathering of it is

Why the Republicans Want Obama

The Republicans want to face Obama in the fall. With Hillary's exit McCain gets a healthy percentage of her supporters right from the get go. The Republicans also have something on Obama. They are going to Swift Boat him. The name that is going to be splashed on every campaign ad is the name Louis Farrakhan. The Republicans are going to associate Obama with the Black Muslims which will drive the Jewish vote right into the hands of McCain. Also you might expect the name of Senator Lieberman as being a VP candidate. Exactly what percentage of the Democratic Party vote is that and how much money does that group donate to political campaigns again? Why does one think that Hillary said that Iran would be annihilated if Israel was attacked by Iran? It will be called the marginalization of Obama as an extremist who can't be trusted.

This is 1860 All Over Again For the Democratic Party

In 1860 the Democratic Party split in 2 parts, one of the parts was the southern radicals who gained the upper hand after John Browns raid on Harpers Ferry in 1859 and the other more moderate Northern Democrats. Both factions fielded their own candidates and assured that the Republican nominee, Abraham Lincoln would win the election.

How is 2008 a redux of 1860 for the Democratic Party. Again there are 2 factions in play for the nomination. The first is the Barrack Obama faction which is backed by the ultra Liberal Ted Kennedy wing and the Chicago midwestern party machine. The Obama faction has won the south by winning the hearts and minds of the African American and college students voters. The other faction are the long time stalwart centerist Clinton faction that is backed by women, blue collar workers, hispanics and party organizations in the large industrial northern states tha t owe the Clintons a backlog of favors.

The Primary election season is running so close that neither candidate has a clear cut margin of victory or defeat. Knowing the Clintons, losing is not in their vocabulary and they will continue to fight until the fat lady sings or a stake is driven through Hillarys heart. Hillary has promised to continue on to the White House, she will pull out all the stops to gain the nomination including. questioing the legitmacy of vote count in Indiana if the Gary Indiana vote should put Obbama over the top in the state. This is no far stretch of the imagination knowing the history of Chicago voting practices. Taking the DNC to court over the Michigan and Floridia non seating of their delegates. remember the "no vote left uncounted" rhetoric of the 2000 campaign. Adopting the "Yes we will" chant of the Obama campaign and "I am fighting for you in your time of need" populist message. Also Hillary has her private dectectives looking under every rock to see if Obama has any dirty laundry that will make him unviable in the fall election.

The large determinate will be money for Hillary,, if her campaign contributions dry up so will her campaign. If she has sufficient funds she will take this to the Convention. Where she hopes to pull it out of the hat by convincing the Democratic Party Super Delegates to change this allegiance and or seating the Michigan and Florida delegates. It is so interesting to note that the Hillary campaign is spinning the level that the bar of victory is set at from 2025 delegates to 2225 delegates. Has Hillary no shame and if she pulls this off she will have changed the definaition of the "is."

Obamas message will continue to be I am ahead, and if you take it away from me you will lose the African American vote forever along with all the young voters and this will be a throw back to the same old politics that we are used to. Which will all lead to a Democratic Party defeat in the fall. The danger for Obama is that as the infighting goes on in the Democratic Party Obama will come to look more and more like another hackeyed politician.

As it is shaping up this fight for the nomination is getting to the point of a grudge match where neither side will be able to reclaim the voters of the other losing faction. The Democratic Party is in the process of splitting itself into two parts forever. Neither faction in the party being strong enough to beat a Republican candidate in the fall election. A new dynamic in American Politics is in the formation stages with the Gotterdammerung of the Democratic Party of old. A new Centerist Party is going to emerge that is going to marginalize the extreme wings of both partys. Call in the Party of Independence.

The Cold Hard Reality

The question is does the United States still have the intestinal fortitude to be a Super Power? When the British occupied Iraq back in the 1920s and their troops were fired upon by the Iraqis, they would go into the village and take out 10 men and shoot them. That sent a message to the Iraqis not to mess with them. To be a Super Power means dirty deeds have to be done dirt cheap or you cease to be a Super Power. Being a Super Power is not a popularity contest. To keep enjoying the fruits and perks of a Super Power means getting your hands dirty sometimes. That is the cold hard reality of this world. Call it evolution and survival of the fittest if you will. Now how to go about being a Super Power. The model that Augustus Caesar laid down is about the best. Augustus never lived in a big palace and kept saying to the Romans that in another 5 years or so when things got better he would return Rome to being a Republic again. He fully realized that the only way he would ever cease to be a Caesar was feet first, and on occasion people went missing. During his reign of 40 or so years Rome enjoyed a Golden Age of prosperity. Unfortunately the Bush Administration and the NEO Boobs that influence its direction have failed to take that warning to heart, and have told the world it "our way or the highway." Mother always told me, "To give em a reach around to make em feel good about themselves when your screwing em." That is in essence what the Bush Administration has failed to do and you can see the results in how the world views us. Is this damage permanent, probably not unless the next administration follows the same practices, then the pattern has become set. Contrary to the beliefs of the Left, McCain is no GW Bush and will not represent 4 more years of the same thing. McCain may keep the principles of the Bush Admin BUT NOT THE PRACTICES. McCain's problem is that he doesn't convey that very well and the left keeps picking away. Hillary is smart enough and shrewd enough to know the realities of the game as she has had enough practice at it. However in practice Hillary is a morally bankrupt person, and will do or say anything to manipulate things to her own ends. The ends justifies the means is her motto, and that clarity of purpose is what made the Clinton's so successful. In other words they just out manipulated everybody else. Barrack Obama is a shape cookie and a quick study to be sure. One can see that on a weekly basis in his campaign. Besides the rhetoric of his campaign for "change" what is the reality of that message. If he should become President of the USA the day he steps into office he is going to face a huge amount of inertia in the government bureaucracy, political establishment and be facing all those special entrenched interests. Either he will modify his position to go along, to get along, or he will be marginalized as Jimmy Carter was back in the 1970's. The real danger is that Obama will use the bully pulpit to institute "change" that will eliminate dissent from the system by limiting it, which will then entrench the party that is in power permanently. Meaning the Democratic Party, which on face of it, the left will love. at least until the day that they don't like something that the government is doing to them. However as the campaign has progressed Barrack Obama has made choices which seem to indicate that he is going along to get along with the status quo. After all you have to prove yourself to be a reliable political operative to become president of the USA. That is how you get enough support to make it into the office

Citizen Carter

I refer to ex president Jimmy Carter as being "Citizen Carter." Some might think that the reference is from the recent media reference to him being a "private citizen" who has singlehandly undertaken a diplomatic mission to Palestein to talk to Hamas. My reference has nothing to do with that media reference. It is based upon the egalatarian salutation that the French gave each other during the French Revolution. A time of virtual chaos and loping off of the heads as it were.

There are a lot of pros cand cons to Citizen Carter undertaking his self appointed mission. Some people think the world of Citizen Carter, others hate him for it. The current Republican administration operatives such as John Negroponte and former Republican operative such as George Schultz think it is "outagous." that he take it upon himself. That it undermines US diplomatic efforts and may give a false impression that Citizen Carter really has some authority to speak for the USA. Those who think the world of Citizen Carter view him as a sincere man of peace, a man of great integrity, a Nobel Peace Prize winner.

Citizen Carter to explain himself has recently appeared on the Charlie Rose interview program. During that visit Mr Carter anxiouly sidetracked the legitmacy issue of his mission and filled his time with the content and impressions he had of the meeting with Hamas and non meeting with the Israelies. Mr Rose did not press Citizen Carter on his motivation for undertaking such a mission.

So what is Citizens Carter motivation for taking it upon himself to creat world peace. By what authority does Citizen Carter take such action? What leads Citizen Carter to think that he brings something to the table that no one else has yet brought to the table? To get a flavor of Citizen Carter one has to remember that Citizen Carter is a product of Admiral Hyman Rickovers nuclear navy which fostered an arrogant air of intellectual elitism coupled with a family history of political activism and religion. . To assuage the guilt Citizen Carter has for those feelings of intelectual elitism, Citizen Carter goes to church .and prays to God for divine guidence. So emerges his mission as emissary of world peace. So is it ego or misguided altruism that leads Citizen Carter to single handly think he can bring peace to the world. The answer to that question is both, and therein lies the tension in the man, on one hand the can do hubris of the intellectual and the other the divine inspiration of a man on a mission.
