Sentiment about the economy in the country is going south and fast. Ever since Tim Geithner spoke on the Tuesday before last, the Stock Market has not had a single up day. It has trimmed approximately 800 DOW points.

The reason is that Geithners speak for the Administration was nothing but hot air. There was no guidance nor specifics about what the plan was. The administration for all the hoopla of how great they would all be has not been able to put forth a specific plan? Are they so weighed down intellectually that they can not make a decison?

The Homeowner mortgage plan which was full of details, for some like economist and current economic seer of the month Norbini says it didn't go far enough. That write down of principle is needed. Others claim that the ramifications of such a plan has personal responsibility implications. Again this has not really pleased anybody.

Also the Stimulus Bill which some tout as being so fast acting, was laden with Greasy Pork which most observers say didn't serve the country that well, but only those who have their snouts in the public treasury. The failure of the admin on this one is that it did not reign in the spending to keep it focused and lean and mean. That Congress got one over on the President.

The latest Obama statement that is indicative of his mind set was given this morning at the Mayors Conference. The President said, "The choich is either to raise taxes or to cut ESSENTIAL services like fire and police." By using the word ESSENTIAL he is saying that government services can not be done without. Well are there not services that are not essential that can be eliminated or cut back? Are they all essential? You see it is that nuance of thinking that I have a problem with. It is government can solve all your problems, so all you have left to do is live life and be happy. Nice if it works?

What our Lincolesque new President is turning out to be is cool, calm, collected and inept..What we have is not only sttuttering and stumbling Barry but bumbling and stumbling Barry as well. Too much thinking and not enough heart.
