While he was in the hospital, it was Hillary who vowed to take the fight for the nomination to the convention. when Senator Kennedy went home, Hillary quietly gave up the ghost of her being nominated...... Secondly it was shortly thereafter that Caroline Kennedy was appointed to the vetting commitee regarding the nomination of the Obama VP. Why would Caroline need to be on the commitee, when in the old days all Edward Kennedy would have to say is BOO to have his will done. The simple fact is that Carolines mere presence belies how ill Senator Kenndy really is. That he needs a proxy shows that he has to have someone who he trusts implicitly to do his bidding and that person is Caroline. The second point is that if one has enough of money, one can make their home into an ICU if need be. So the trick here is how often are we going to see Senator Kennedys face in public, and under what circumstances? It does seem the Kennedys are trying to hold it together one last time.
